About Us

Who are the Maness Family?

L to R: Elisabeth (3), Elijah (5), Jonathan (7), Hannah (10), Ruth (15), Joshua (17), and Anastacia and Scott (married 19 years).

IMG_20121128_143637On November 28, 1996 a new family was formed. Even before their wedding, Scott and Anastacia Maness promised each other that they would never leave each other no matter what happened.

That’s called commitment.

With that commitment, they left themselves only two choices for when the going gets tough.

  1. Live the rest of their lives together miserable and unhappy. Or. . .
  2. Work hard to live their lives serving God and each other happily ever after.

Then in 1998 their blessings and challenges began to grow with the birth of their first child. They had to learn how to be parents as well.

The Maness family currently have 6 children: Joshua, Ruth, Hannah, Jonathan, Elijah, and Elisabeth. And yes there is still room for more. We plan to have as many children as the Lord allows.

Our family has grown strong over the years. We are constantly working on making it even stronger. That’s where this website comes in.

The Maness Family strive to set the example for the rest of the world of what a strong family should look like. It is their goal to encourage and strengthen families to build their own Rock Solid Family.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. (Matthew 7:24-25)

Our Family Picture in November 2012

This is what happens anytime we take a picture with the sun in our face.

We hope this blog helps you draw closer to God and your family as well.

Yes. They can stand still for at least one picture. You just got to keep the camera snapping to actually catch the perfect shot.
